BLIK, the Polish banks’ mobile payment method, published its first-quarter 2026 results, and they confirm its place at the centre of Polish e-commerce.
The headline numbers
- 756 million transactions in Q1 2026, up 14% year on year.
- PLN 117.3 billion in value (about €27.6 billion), up 19%.
- Over 21 million regular users, up 12%.
- 8.4 million transactions a day on average, with a peak day of 12.3 million.
Online is half the business
E-commerce made up 50.1% of all BLIK transactions: 378.8 million online purchases worth PLN 60.7 billion, with an average basket of PLN 160. Online volume grew 16% in count and 23% in value.
Recurring payments are taking off
BLIK Recurring Payments processed 1.5 million transactions worth PLN 70 million in the quarter. They let customers approve a subscription once in their banking app, which opens BLIK to streaming, software and other subscription businesses that previously relied on cards.
What it means for merchants
If you sell to Poland and don’t offer BLIK, you’re asking most customers to use a method they’d rather not. Put BLIK at the top of your Polish checkout, price in złoty and make the six-digit code entry quick on mobile. If you bill monthly, look at BLIK Recurring as well.
