How customers pay

  1. The customer chooses BLIK at checkout.
  2. They open their banking app and copy a six-digit BLIK code, valid for two minutes.
  3. They enter the code on your checkout page.
  4. They confirm the payment in the banking app, and you receive confirmation within seconds.

BLIK is the most popular way to pay online in Poland. In the first quarter of 2026 it handled 756 million transactions, with more than 21 million regular users, and around half of all BLIK payments happened online.

How BLIK works

The customer generates a short-lived six-digit code in their banking app, types it into your checkout and confirms in the app. No card details, no redirect to online banking, and strong customer authentication is built in.

Returning customers can also use BLIK without a code: after a first payment, the customer can save your shop in their banking app so later payments need only a confirmation.

Recurring payments

BLIK Recurring Payments let customers approve subscriptions once in their banking app. Later charges are taken automatically within the limits they agreed. It’s growing fast for streaming, software and digital services.

Tips for Poland

  • Put BLIK at the top of your Polish checkout. For many shoppers it’s the default.
  • Make the code field large and numeric so mobile keyboards show digits.
  • Show a clear “confirm in your banking app” step while you wait for approval.
  • Price in PLN. BLIK is a złoty payment method.

For iGaming operators

BLIK is popular for deposits with operators licensed in Poland. Poland’s gambling market is tightly regulated, so check which payment flows your licence allows.
